Saturdays & Sundays, June 1 - 16, 2013

Three Weekend Intensives
10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Participants will learn the ins and outs of running a fashion business from FIT faculty members and industry veterans with relevant expertise. Topics are as follows:

Weekend 1: Fashion Business Marketing

Weekend 2: Fashion Business Operations

Weekend 3: Fashion Business Financial Management

June 17 – August 18, 2013

Summer Development
Participants will be able to work with instructors online to refine and finalize their business plans. Additionally, there will be a number of optional summer sessions in which participants can receive in-person guidance on their business plans as well as participate in specialized workshops run by seasoned industry professionals.

August 27, 2013

Presentation Skills Workshop
All participants will master the art of the pitch in small groups. By workshop’s end, participants will have honed their ability to captivate audiences and deliver a compelling message.

September 2013

The Pitch: Business Plan Presentations
Participants who successfully complete the Design Entrepreneurs NYC program will have the opportunity to present their business plans to and receive feedback from a panel of influential industry leaders. These leaders will provide unique insight based on their own experience on what it takes for a business to grow and succeed in the NYC fashion industry.
