Jacqueline JenkinsJacqueline M. Jenkins was appointed executive director of FIT’s Center for Continuing and Professional Studies in fall 2025. While serving as the interim director, she drove a 58 percent increase in revenue through strategic enrollment growth, developed programs for diverse learners, and secured SUNY grant funding, which provided over 160 scholarships, and in September 2025, she launched a workforce initiative with Nordstrom, Inc. Jenkins was also selected for the SUNY Fellows Program, a leadership cohort for future SUNY presidents.

She joined FIT in 2018 as acting executive director of strategic planning and innovation. She engaged over 535 FIT community members in strategic dialogue, managed key committees, and helped maintain the college’s strategic momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jenkins established a lasting implementation framework for institutional initiatives, contributed as a member of FIT’s President’s Cabinet, and led the creation of the Center for Innovative Research at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Prior to her tenure at FIT, Jenkins served as dean of graduate studies at LIM College. In this capacity, she oversaw the design and implementation of advanced academic programs. As founding dean, she established the global fashion supply chain management program. During her leadership, the graduate division attained its inaugural academic ranking and received international recognition from The Business of Fashion. Additionally, Jenkins co-authored the textbook Fashion Supply Chain Management, published by Fairchild Books.

Jenkins’s previous leadership experience includes serving as program executive at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, chief operating officer at Milligan & Co., and chief financial officer of Black Cyberspace Inc., where she secured $1 million in early-stage financing. She has also held senior roles at Ann Taylor, Inc., and began her career at First National Bank of Boston (now State Street Bank).

She has served on the boards of the Pennsylvania Private Investors Group and Ben Franklin Technology Partners Enterprise Growth Fund. She is currently a board advisor for the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, and in 2023, co-chaired the Penn Spectrum Conference. She is also a 37-year member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.

Jenkins is a doctoral candidate in global leadership and change at Pepperdine University. She holds a B.A. in economics from Spelman College and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She founded Sophisticated Curation, a community for mature fashion enthusiasts, and authored Your Style Dossier, which debuted at number 15 on Amazon’s fashion bestseller list. She has hosted more than 90 women for global fashion week excursions to Paris, London, Milan, and New York. Her interests include hatmaking and golf.
