Career Pathways
FIT Technical Design graduates have begun their careers at G-III Apparel, The North Face, Jockey, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, and other firms using their garment construction and technology skills. Many are working as assistant technical designers in New York City earning over $50,000 a year, according to FIT alumni surveys.

Designing for a New Frontier
Angela Maragni, Technical Design ’12, brought her FIT training to the development of new ceremonial uniforms for the Space Force. The technical skills she gained as a student—including creating detailed garment specifications and collaborating with manufacturers—remain relevant to her work today.
