College Application Essays
At FIT, applicants to majors in the School of Business and Technology and Art History and Museum Professions in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences are not required to submit a portfolio for admission. All applicants are required to submit an essay.
Application essays are an opportunity to set yourself apart from other candidates. Experiences in Precollege courses are helpful for writing intelligently about aspects of the career, industry, and major you want to be part of. We encourage you to try a variety of courses to broaden your understanding of how industries impact and support each other.
