Hong Kong Seminar

The week-long Seminar in late Fall that provides an in-depth look at the interconnected landscape of production, sourcing, and retail across Hong Kong and Mainland China. Through executive sessions, company and factory visits, and cultural experiences, participants explore how innovation, technology, and sustainability are reshaping global supply chains and manufacturing practices. The program also examines China’s evolving consumer market, regional trade dynamics, and the strategic role of Hong Kong as a hub for design, logistics, and brand management in the broader Asian fashion industry.

Past seminar activities have included:

  • Executive presentations from senior leaders representing global fashion, retail, sourcing, manufacturing, and technology organizations

  • Exploration of supply chain strategy, sourcing, logistics, and global production networks

Case Study

GFM students from FIT, HK PolyU, and IFM—representing a diverse range of countries, cultures, and professional backgrounds—work in multinational teams to develop strategic recommendations for a real-world business case study focused on a company operating in the Chinese or broader Asian marketplace. Teams present their findings and recommendations on the final day of the seminar to senior leaders from the participating company and receive direct feedback from key stakeholders.
