American Business College of Paris
Description
The American Business College Paris (ABC) sits right on the vibrant Canal St. Martin, in the trendy and energetic 10th arrondissement. The school blends academics with real-world experience through hands-on internships (Spring students only) and internationally accredited programs in business, marketing, and fashion luxury management.
Just a 15-minute walk from the lush Parc des Buttes-Chaumont and a quick subway ride to iconic Parisian landmarks like the Louvre, Centre Pompidou, and Champs-Élysées, ABC places you in the middle of it all - where business meets culture, and learning goes way beyond the classroom.
Note: as of September 1st 2025 the institution's title/designation is changing from "School" to "College".
Eligible Majors:
- Advertising and Marketing Communications
- Fashion Business Management
- International Trade and Marketing
Program Type: Semester Study Abroad

Spring students have the opportunity to complete a two-month internship in Paris once the semester ends, earning 6 major-area elective credits. This is a rare and valuable chance to gain international work experience, and it is currently FIT’s most affordable option for an English-speaking internship abroad.
Fall: End of August through mid-December
Spring: End of January through mid-May
Spring + internship: End of January through mid-July
Specific dates and more details will be available upon acceptance in your ABC portal. Students are generally expected to arrive the weekend before orientation begins.
Students are responsible for arranging their own accommodations while studying in
Paris.
While most institutions abroad - including ABC - do not offer on-campus housing, they
provide guidance in the ABC portal once a student is accepted into the program. Office
of International Programs (OIP) also combines housing resources from all of its local partners here
Students will be required to obtain a Long-Stay French Visa for the full duration of their time in France. The Office of International Programs (OIP) will hold a visa orientation to provide guidance and necessary institutional documents. However, it is the student’s responsibility to complete the required steps and secure the visa. Please note that this process cannot begin early, as visa applications may only be submitted within 90 days of the program’s start date.
FIT requires all students to be covered in the U.S. and internationally for the duration of their study abroad program. Students are automatically enrolled in the UHC Study Abroad Insurance, which is included in ABC program budget sheet (google doc). This policy is SUNY-mandated, therefore, it cannot be waived.
The UHC Study Abroad Insurance is ACA compliant and students may waive the FIT Haylor Student Health Insurance using the Study Abroad policy.
